Not a day goes by that I don't get an email from someone asking questions like, why is there nothing but wars and contention day after day? Why are politicians, preachers, and corporate leaders such liars?

I know the answer, and even though I share it free of charge, no one likes it.

ADULT: The word adult is misleading. It's a word used to describe one who is legally responsible for his or her actions. That's it. It doesn't in anyway confer or guarantee that a person, while gladly accepting the perks afforded adults, will accept any responsibility. How many times have you heard something like, Hell, he's 40 years old and still acting like a damn kid?

JUSTICE & FAIRNESS: The words justice and fairness are pretty sounding words, but they only exist when the outcome is not important to the "A" type personality or a sociopath.

GOD: The word God is a word used to explain things to people with lazy minds. For these people, "It was God's will" is perfect. It requires nothing on their part. They cannot be blamed for something that was God's doing. True, they pulled the trigger or dropped the bomb, but they did so because it was God's will. Therefore, there is no reason for guilt or shame.

ASSUMING & APATHY: The words assuming and apathy are again words to describe a lazy mind. Here's how those minds think. No, I do not know much about either Obama or McCain, but I'll support the one elected with my life. A million people can't be wrong. – All I need is a full belly and a roof over my head. They conveniently leave out the part about reserving the right to blame everyone on Earth for their circumstances. – I'm an alcoholic. – I came from a broken family.– I'm just unlucky. – There's nothing that one person can do. – And the list goes and on and on.

Some hope McCain wins because he's a war hero and knows how to keep us safe. Excuse me; he spent the war in jail. He couldn't keep himself and one airplane safe.

Some hope Obama wins because he's change. All the while, Obama cannot comprehend how he, a junior senator with nothing more than a mediocre record and very limited experience, can be standing at the threshold of the most powerful office in the world. He has looked at his wife and she has looked at him and they broke up laughing at just how utterly ridiculous and stupid voters are. With each passing minute, the Obama's are beginning to believe that they must be smarter than most else--how could this be happening--and that's when the trouble starts.

TARGETS: We are all targets. Every second that one is awake, his or her mind is being bombarded with bullshit, and manipulated by people who are employed just for that purpose.

SELF-SERVING & UNGODLY: Humans are by nature as self-serving and ungodly as it is possible to be. Humans are the only animals who haven't done a single thing to improve the world they live in. Humans have done nothing to improve the lives of another single animal on this planet. Therefore, what right do you and I have to believe other humans, trying to climb the ladder to fame and fortune, will not try to crush us under their heels?

Biography: Robert Miller was born in Florence, Alabama 1940. Miller served as a pilot in Vietnam in 1968-69 and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal. Challenged Richard Shelby for a seat in the U.S. Senate in 1992. Produced the television show, The Late Show (BLAB 2001). Worked as the golf pro on Holland America's ms Westerdam. Robert Miller is America's most controversial writer and has authored seven books.
