Out of Control Heiress and attorney Savannah Von Hopf gets a call from her uncle Alex in Jakarta he's been kidnapped, please bring the quarter-million-dollar ransom requested. No problem for Savannah regarding the money, but she's scared to go to Indonesia by herself. She snares the aid of Ken Karmody, a Navy SEAL, and off they go. They're kidnapped upon arrival, escape the kidnappers and spend endless days in the jungle trying to escape capture. Alex's mother, eighty-year-old Rose, knows from experience how to pull strings and does so. She gets an FBI team working on this case for her Max, Alyssa and Jules. They all head to Jakarta, along with Ken's SEAL team, to find all the missing Alex, Savannah, Ken and others. This is not an in-depth book at all; no symbolism to figure out; no underlying theme; just a fluffy romantic mystery. The dialogue between Ken and Savannah is hilarious and/or sarcastic at times, but definitely had me laughing. There are subplots to keep you turning the pages. |
